Submitting the Audit

There are several ways to submit your documentation:

Method #1: Online

  • Log in to our Audit QuickLink online data collection area.
  • You need your online filing username and password to access this tool. If you have misplaced your online filing user name and password, contact AAM’s service department at 224-366-6341.
  • You can upload any files you need to submit for the audit (Excel, text or PDF format is preferred).

Method #2: Digital File

  • You can place your electronic files on CD and mail them to AAM. The CDs can be sent to AAM headquarters to the attention of your auditor:

    Alliance for Audited Media

    Arlington Heights, IL 60005
  • Please ensure you provide the following information with your CD:
    • Publication name
    • City, State (Province)
    • Member number
    • Audit period

Method #3: Hard Copy

List of documents that should be found on the CD 

  • You may submit paper documents, if necessary. Hard-copy documents may be sent to AAM headquarters to the attention of your auditor:
    “Joe Auditor” – Audit Prep

    Arlington Heights, IL 60005
  • Please ensure you provide the following information with your paperwork:
    • Publication name
    • City, State (Province)
    • Member number
    • Audit period
    • List of documents included in the mailing
  • If you want any of the documents returned to you, please include a note in the mailing identifying those you wish to have returned.

NOTE TO MAGAZINES:
If you use an outside fulfillment operation to maintain your records, they may submit those materials directly to AAM.

Audit QuickLink

Submit your data via Audit QuickLink, which streamlines the audit process by letting newspapers and magazines submit audit documents and forms digitally. This service allows members to control their audit costs by obtaining a credit for completing and submitting advance audit documentation. With Audit QuickLink, members can make updates to their information at any time and as often as desired, and auditors and members are able to work on the documents simultaneously.

Submission for Newspapers:

  • You may submit each file separately or several as a zip file. You need your online filing username and password to access this tool.
  • Once you login, go to the “Supporting Documentation” tab.
  • Click the “Add” button and attach the file and note a description of its content. It can be a text, PDF or Excel file (preferred).
  • Be sure the file name provides clarity as to the content of the file for both you and the auditor.
  • When done, be sure to click the “Save and Add” button to submit.

Submission for Magazines:

  • You may submit each file separately or several as a zip file. You need your online filing username and password to access this tool.
  • Once you log in, click on the “Edit/Review” button to select the Publisher’s statement period for which you will provide data.
  • Scroll down to “Supporting Documentation” item and click the “Add” or “Add/Edit” button.
  • In this next screen, click “Add” or “Add/Edit” button to attach a new file or set of zipped files.
  • Click on “Browse” and attach the file from your computer (text, Excel or PDF files are preferred).
  • Select the document type or select “Other.”
  • Provide a unique description of the file.
  • Click on “Save Changes” to save your data for your own review. Click “Save and Add” to actually submit the data to AAM.
